8th NZ Classic Car Rally (Cromwell)

The 8th NZ Classic will be based at the Golden Gate Lodge in Cromwell from Sunday March 2nd till Saturday March 8th and then move to Dunedin for the annual Wings and Wheels Display at Taieri Airport. This event is now drawing a large number of classic car owners each year and an interesting range of aircraft.

Goldrush Multisport Event (Alexandra)

A multi-sport event, the Goldrush Multisport Event sees sports enthusiasts challenge central Otago while following the path of New Zealand pioneers. Competitors bike, run, and kayak along a 375 km (233 mi) track that passes numerous historic sites, including two old rail tunnels. Bicycles and improved pathways mean distances that would have taken New Zealand's first settlers two days to travel can be done in less than two hours.
